Veronica Potes, Rolando Nichols and Ericka Avila
On Thursday, August 21, the Center for Education in TV and Radio (CENTRO) celebrated its inaugural class celebration. CENTRO is a vocational trade school specializing in television and radio. The graduating class is the first class to graduate from the school. Veronica and I attended the graduation ceremony held at the school’s facilities. Univision anchor, Rolando Nichols, is CEO/President of CENTRO as well as one of its founders. At the reception, we had the opportunity to take a mini tour of a production mobile unit. It was fun to get a behind-the-scenes look and see the equipment the students have available to use. We even tried the equipment ourselves! Overall, the reception was a great event celebrating exceptional students commencing their careers in television and radio.
